After Pokemon Go player Samcornwell shared his incredible feat of landing 119 excellent throws out of 120 attempts, players were quick to talk about their fears of failing the task.

This prompted other players to share some pretty useful tricks to ensure excellent throws in Pokemon Go.
One player commented: Look for Pokemon with bigger capture circles, like Raid Legendary. These are the easiest excellent shots to make. Use a friendly Pokemon with Catch Assist. Specifically, try to make excellent shots, then only throw after the capture radius is small enough. 80 days is enough to achieve this.
Raid legendaries in particular can get you more than 10 excellent rolls in a single encounter. Hold the Pokeball until the radius is small enough, then throw it as soon as it’s done parrying.

One player said: Yesterday I finished an excellent shot. Thank goodness for Stantler, Metagross, and all the other big-circle Pokemon.
Large-circle Pokemon are the ones that offer a larger catch radius when encountering Pokemon. Players will be happy to know that Metagross will be available in 3-star raids in September. Additionally, participating in these Raids also counts towards the other task: Win 60 Raids.
The Spotlight Hours are also an excellent opportunity to practice excellent casting. On September 19, players can try to get excellent shots on another big-circle Pokemon as Girafarig stars in the Hour of the Spotlight that day.
